At Work: Ubuntu Server 16 or CentOS 7?

Hello everybody.

The company I work for has decided to migrate all servers to Linux and there are only two possible choices:

  • Ubuntu Server 16
  • CentOS 7

Servers will be virtualized over ESXi VMware and must provide Samba services as members of a Windows 2008 Domain, using Kerberos authentication to connect with LDAP of the domain.

Which one would you choose in order to give a better service, compatibilities, updates, troubles …?

You Should go for Server Centos 7, for more better performance.

In this situation, I will prefer for Centos. So, I will suggest Centos.
