Closing/Blocking ports using KALI for Linux

Hey there!
Please let me know how I can close or block unused ports on interfaces within a network using KALI. Note that some of the workstations are running on windows. I have tried netstat command, KILL command and both of them are not giving me the desired out come.
Thank you.

once look at the below link it may help you

Hi,
either use “iptables” command to block a specific port or
stop service
for example, if you stop “sshd” service by "/etc/init.d/sshd stop " command , port 22 will be closed
