How can i setup a server for users to acess their files?

Hello everybody

I would like to know how i can configure my Ubuntu server or any Linux server to do the following:

-hold user accounts, authenticate and authorize users.
-provides services to users such as sharing, storage of their resources like music, documents, videos and many more.

I can be able to setup many services on a Linux server but can not setup user accounts to be acess the same machine at the same time.

This can be done by LDAP server. It is same as Microsoft’s AD concept

Can we add windows clients to the LDAP server which is configured in linux??

@itz_sashi Good question, i would also like to know that too. This can be important when working in an environment where you have PCs and Linux machines.
