How to Configure Debian Jessie Sources.list

Hi Friends,
I just installed Debian jessie (lxde, kde, gnome, mate) ,i don’t know how to configure this os , i couldn’t update or install any packages with apt … my sources.list file content is here

Line commented out by installer because it failed to verify:

#deb jessie/updates main contrib

Line commented out by installer because it failed to verify:

#deb-src htp:// jessie/updates main contrib
 jessie-updates, previously known as 'volatile'

A network mirror was not selected during install. The following entries are provided as examples, but you should amend them as appropriate for your mirror of choice.

# deb htp:// /	debian/
# deb htp:// jessie-updates main contrib
# deb-src htp:// jessie-updates main contrib

How to add vaild jessie updates mirrors

Move your original sources.list as

# mv /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.old

Create /etc/apt/sources.list

# touch /etc/apt/sources.list

The best thing is you may generate the sources.list anytime. Here is the link

Just Enter your Country, Release, Architecture, sources and 3rd party repo (Only if it is necessary and you understand the risk) and then click ‘Generate sources.list’

Copy everything from the resulting interface and paste it to your /etc/apt/sources.list file using your root account.

and then run as root

# apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade
