Showing an Error in Ubuntu 15.04 ..!

Hai…i m using ubuntu 15.04 ,when i tried to enter this command in the terminal

sudo apt-get install vlc smplayer audacious qmmp mixxx xbmc handbrake openshot

it showing an error …!

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

plz help me…How to fix it…:smiley:

I don’t use Ubuntu at the moment, but this is what I’ve found:

You can delete the lock and cache directory with the following commands to fix error:

$ sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/lock
$ sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/lock
