we have a yum server and all the client are contacting the yum server for the package installation,
the scenario is that all the rpm packages in the yum server should get updated in the repository.
so while an installation happens it will be an updated one in the client side,
can any one help in this to achieve , Thanks in advance.
You should all set the cron job to done this all from client side…
You can use yum-cron for updating machine by itself when ever updates available but i don’t recommend to use yum-cron to update production machines.
It’s always good to test an update first, hopefully you have like builds and like apps where you can test an update for a like build and a like app and then feel safe apply the update.
